Kilig Moments

I have this ultimate crush in school which happened to be an instructor. A very decent and respectable man who would be serious and busy enough to notice me and I hate it.
You know how teachers are? Very workaholic I say. So truth be told, I do make crazy things to make him notice me every time I see him. I shout like an idiot whenever he would come across my way riding his motorcycle and I was like:

"Hello Sir, ang pogi mo talaga!"

Believe it or not, I enjoy what I'm doing and I am confident enough that he won't mind it  and besides, what I say is true (you know, people admit that he's really cute) and there's no harm with that. With the help of our Philippine Government Constitution, I learned that humans like me have so called" Freedom of Expression" and I use it, to the highest level as you can tell. hahaha.

But not until he saw me alone in the library reading a certain book. He simply said "hi" and I, alone in that room with him wanted to melt. I just smiled and pretended to continue reading. He came closer and my heart was in race especially when he initiated a conversation simply by asking  questions.

Him: Do you have any idea about variance?
Me: ahmmm..Yes sir, we studied it during our assessment 2.
Him: What about t- test?
ME: Yes Sir.
Him: Do you still have your notes?
Me: I'm not sure but I'll look into it.
Him: Oh.. thank you.

After that moment, he would smile often whenever I see him. In the faculty, canteen, along the way, anywhere! There was an instance when he was currently teaching his class and when I pass outside his door, he would pause and smile at me.

I started to behave. I never shout, nor yell at him just to get his attention. We started chatting in fb and he would always call me" madam". How odd right?  I learned a lot about his personal life, that he really wanted to be a soldier but his parents didn't permit him. That he was the only boy in their family and he was a little sporty. One time, when he saw Melvin and I playing table tennis in one of the rooms in school, he was tempted to play and borrowed the racket from Melvin and for the first time in forever, I had the chance to play ping pong with him in that very unexpected moment.

Well, if you would ask me what happened  in the game, I'll simply say " I made it easier for him". I thought he was an expert so I didn't gave him a single chance to smash the ball but he ended up throwing the white flag.  To be frank, I gave my best fight so he won't get bored with the play and indeed he
to be continued...

Unfinished Stories

Hello bloggers, long time no see. This last two weeks, I've been very very busy working on my projects. I have to be wise enough in managing my time in order to cope up with the multiple deadline of my projects. You know how college life is? Hindi na kami pinatawad eh. Anyways, I know that it has always been part of being a student and It is my responsibility to submit them all.

One of these projects is writing a particular story which you considered as your own literary production with you as the original author of course. It didn't bother me so much to think of a story to write since I've been writing a lot about my personal experiences( some of them were published) and also, the seminar workshop I attended few weeks ago did a great help.

But things didn't go the way I thought it would since I started having short conversation with Sir Morella who happened to be my ultimate crush and guess what? I don't know where did he get the idea particularly about the stories we're writing when I found out that it was Sandy, my classmate ,who to told him about it. Sandy said that Sir Morella asked her if I am also writing my story and basically, Sandy said "YES"..

That afternoon, he immediately approached me in the faculty room, the moment when I was in Sir Nov's table eating chocolate and I was too shy to smile because I knew that some chocolate must have stuck between my teeth. He asked me if he could he could read my story. OMG!! I really don't know what to say so to make it safe, I told him that it was not yet finished and he will surely have the copy of it once it was done.

Honestly, it was finish. Three days before I talked with him, just to be exact. I just can't bear  to let him read that without double- checking my grammar, organization of thoughts and others. It's like putting myself into pit.

The project I thought would easy for me became the hardest one. Believe it or not, I ended up writing four, five, no..six unfinished stories and yet, I can't decide what to work on. It's a suicide!!!  He told me that he likes love stories and my story is about a family matter so I changed it from time to time. I almost quit and you don't have any idea how it bothered me.

The day after the deadline, I decided to stop pleasing him. As a writer, I must write as what my heart desires and not for others. Thank God I finally did it. my story is about a daughter who learned how to be independent when her mom started having her job. It was nice, I guess. and to make it a love story, I entitled it" Mom's love story". I haven't seen Sir Morella for weeks so he  had no idea about the story.

P.S: I was the last one to submit that project. hahaha. I hope my teacher would understand.

That's my laptop

I don't understand why i easily get into troubles specifically on personal things. I told you earlier about the slippers I accidentally wore and happened to be Major Villar's property.  Today, I'm gonna tell you how I spoiled my teacher's laptop believing that it was Jona's and not hers.

It was a lazy Monday afternoon and everybody was out to somewhere.  I went to the teacher's faculty to check out something when I saw  a laptop on ma'am Joy's table which is very similar to the one  that Jona has.

Without a second thought, I browsed it and  was planning to have  a Facebook visit. I was wondering why ma'am Joy's account appeared on the screen.. I paused for a minute to think.. Well, maybe she just borrowed it from Jona   earlier and forgot to log it out.

Out of the corner of my eyes, Ma'am Joy appeared and seeing me using the laptop seemed to bother her so much.

" Hala Meg..." ,she yelled

I didn't let her finish her word because I know that she's worrying about her open account so I finally cleared my throat and said:

"Don't worry, don't worry.. I logged it out so calm down and relax."

Hearing those words calmed her trembling soul.
" good!", she said smiling.

I used the laptop for an hour and really enjoyed. When the class was over, Jona invited me to go home. I noticed that she wasn't carrying her laptop so I reminded her this way:
Jona, Yung laptop mo nakalimutan mo sa faculty..sa table ni ma'am Joy!"

Jona smiled and said" Ah.. hindi ko dinala ang laptop ko noh.."

"OMG.. you mean, that's ma'am Joy's laptop I was using earlier?"

"Indeed," she said.

I could have kicked myself to experience such crazy thing   for the second time around. I hurriedly went to Ma'am Joy's table and with my knees down, I apologized. But she was too kind to say:

"It's okay, Meg, no problem with that."

See? She didn't get mad, not a bit. But of course, I must be wise enough to learn the lesson here. Here it is in big letters:

" ASK PERMISSION ON THINGS WHICH ARE NOT YOURS"..:)

That's my Slippers!!!

Well, here is another bloopers from a crazy girl who accidentally wore the slippers owned by Major Gregardo Villar. Yes. Knowing that it was his slippers almost scared me to death.

It all started when Ate Bhing, my cousin and my classmate's boss, invited me to join them in their lunch.  My goodness... how can I say no.. I was wearing shoes that time so as a sign of respect, I have to take it off before reaching the dining room. I have to say that I'm not used wearing barefoot so upon seeing the set of slippers somewhere in the corner I immediately borrowed one  of for myself. It was big and its faded blue color could tell that it's old.

Ate Bhing prepared " tinola" as their tanghalian and truth be told, that was the best tinola I've ever tasted in my entire life. we were very busy eating and chatting when out of nowhere,we heard a loud voice shouting: who wore my slippers? I just ignored it and continue eating when ate jovy told me to look back.

There, I saw kuya Greg standing at my back , looking at my feet.

"What's the matter?, I asked them.
"hey, that's my slippers!!,he replied.

OMG!!! I should have known earlier that the slippers I was wearing belongs to him.

On the Spot Winner

The Balagtasan was over and I was about to go home when Melvin asked me if I wanted to join the extemporaneous speech competition.

"Melvin, not again!!!", I said. I don't want to commit the same mistake  but these words convinced  me.

" Napahiya na tayo kanina kaya sulitin na  natin!".. So for the second time around, I was involved in another trouble. But this time, there were 13 contestants. I should say that winning this kind of contest is a great challenge..and I do love to be challenged.

Melvin was the eight performer and  I was the last to perform. We only have three minutes to speak and one minute to organize all the ideas we have so when the competition begun, everybody seemed to be pretty nervous.

Extemporaneous speech for me, is no big deal. We had our speech and stage arts subject so somehow, I know the basic things to consider while speaking in public plus my countless experience  in joining declamation contest contributed in overcoming my stage fright so I am confident that everything will be fine.

When my name was called, I held my breath and went to the stage.  The topic was about using Filipino language to promote world peace.I organized the ideas I have in mind and  made sure to enunciate and pronounce every single word clearly. Unlike other contestants who started their speech without saying any quotation or what, I told them a story as my introduction. The story was actually funny and I succeed in getting their attention and in delivering the story in a funny way.

At the end of the talk, I was very sure that the audience had liked because they clapped and cheered so loud. I was shocked when Melvin shouted saying: " Whoaaah, Kaklase ko yan!!!".. What a jerk!
He congratulated me in advance but I told him that the result was not finish so he should stop flattering me.

After 15 minutes, Sir Novs went to the stage holding the result of the competition and when he finally spoke..OMG!!! I can't believe I won the first place. Clark and Melvin were very proud of me and bragged my certificates in every person they encounter. I laugh and laugh and laugh...

My dad was so happy upon hearing the news. He laughed at me when I told him what happened to our Balagtasan and how I skipped my lines during the performance. This was really an unforgetable experience..

The Three Idiots

Part of the celebration of Linggo ng Wika was the competition for Balagtasan,Talumpati, Poster- making and trivia. Two of my friends,Melvin and Clark encouraged me to join them in Balagtasan and compete with the other year levels.

I thought they were just trying to fool me around so my YES to them was not serious at all. But when these guys handed me the copy of the piece,I was like.."
Hey,you guys serious about these?" They looked at me and said that our names were already listed together with other candidates. I told them that I was just joking but these guys would kill me. The piece was quite long and it would really take one great mind to memorize my part there's no way to turn back now..

I envy Clark for having the shortest part of the piece because he was the Lakandiwa. Melvin and I were Pablo and Ofelia who would speak alternately through out the piece. What a curse!!

I spent my whole night memorizing my part. Even though the script was written in tagalog language, I find it hard to memorize every single word. Those guys expect me to memorize my part immediately? What do they think I am, girl version of Jimmy Neutron? But I did my best to learn everything my part and before the morning came, I almost got it all. ALMOST..

I ransacked my old cabinet looking for my kimona and saya and I was so happy to find them both. " these will be my costume" I told myself as I hurriedly went to school.
I found Clark sitting on the bench reading his script. I joined him and did the same thing. After a while, Melvin arrived. Just a moment before the competition starts. We found out that there were only two contestants One from criminology department and one from teacher education department and that's us!

The first group was very good. They have memorized every line perfectly so I was having a second thought whether to compete or just go home. But Melvin told us that we will fight no matter what happen. Whatta brave man!!

And guess what happened next?? Everybody clapped so loud when our group was called in front. They were all excited to see us perform. I bit my lip and utter these words: HELP US GOD!

Well,I have to say that our performance was...hmm...not that bad. Melvin did a good job and they can't accuse me for skipping some of my lines. My part was really really long ,that's why.

What I don't understand was Clark. I laughed at him so hard after the performance because he forgot most of his lines. THEO GRACIAS!!!!  I kept on teasing him and he seemed to be so annoyed. But at some point, I admire the spirit of these two jerks for having such courage to do such thing like this.

Were not after the prize anyway. This was a nice experience and I believe that it did a great help in developing our confidence for the future... No regrets..

Where is she?

On the day of the seminar, I woke up so early and prepared myself ready to go. Remember, I am the master of ceremony so there is no reason to be late.  I arrived in school at 7: 30. I guess it's just the perfect time to have a short review of my script and to set everything ready.Microphone, check. Sound system, check.  Snacks, check. Now get ready to rumble!!!!

It was already 8:00 and I was hoping for three important person to be there. The adviser, the Resource Speaker and oh... Johaima, of course! Where are those guys? I texted Johaima to come and told her that the program will start in 10 minutes( just to alarm her!)..After a while, our adviser was there together with the resource speaker. I felt nervous..I Not because I am the emcee but because Johaima was not yet around. I kept on checking my phone from time to time waiting for reply and when my I saw her message on my phone, my world collapsed!!

" Ate Meg, I'm sorry but I can't attend. Sir Mark told me that the seminar is just a joke and you're just making fun of me."
I already told my classmate that Johaima will sing and the program is fixed. I know that they are all expecting for a song number so Johaima must be here! But her one- word reply made  me not to expect for her to come. " sorry".. That's what he keeps on telling me.

The program started and I don't have a choice but to forget about song number (which made me really really mad).Good thing that the resource speaker did lots of energizer  which somehow consumed the time intended for the song number.
The seminar was successful and satisfying.  Everybody enjoyed the talk and I believe that they have learned so many things during the discussion.

I felt relieved. "Thank God, I survived." But the fact that Johaima broke the deal annoyed me so much. And the worst.. Why did Sir Mark told her that I was just making fun of her? How dare him to say that! My blood was boiling and I can't help myself from being mad at them.  It felt like I was being cheated.. betrayed...and I hate this!
